There will be special discounted entry fees and event wristbands when you register at the website before online registration closes. The schedule of events is already posted on the website. This year’s NORRA 500 will be an incredible event that runs from October 9th through the 12th in Ensenada, Baja Mexico. After technical inspection and qualifying on Thursday the 9th, racers will embark on two days of competition that start and finish around Ensenada. On Sunday morning, October 12th teams can pick up their awards at a fun celebration before heading home.
The starting line will be at Rancho Nelson on day one of racing with the finish line celebration at Horsepower Ranch. The following day you will take the green flag at Estero Beach short course track and finish at the resort at Estero Beach. Bikes are back; they will enjoy the same start and finish lines, but run separate, bike only courses both days.
The NORRA 500 is easy to chase, easy to race. The NORRA 500’s unique format is intended to reduce complicated planning and logistics, and create an event that racers can easily manage. It is a loop race that begins, and ends around Ensenada. Your team can stay at the same hotel for the entire event. If you have always wanted to bring your family, and friends to see what NORRA is all about, or want to get your feet wet racing in Baja, this is the event for you!
Those new to NORRA can go anytime to www.norra.com and create a team profile. A complete guide is located here. You can do this before registration opens on July 1st so you’ll be ready to go through the rest of the process. Those who already have a profile can update the information for 2025 any time.
To further prepare for the NORRA 500 go to www.norra.com and read the new rules. You should familiarize yourself with the general rules and class rules so you can make sure that when you show up to race with NORRA you are fully in compliance. That way you will have a quick and anxiety free technical inspection process in Ensenada. You already spent precious time and money to get to the race. Contingency should be a time to relax, have fun and catch up with old friends or make new ones.
No other racing series has a more diverse field of cars, trucks, buggies and UTV’s competing. Entries span the entire history of over 50 years of offroad racing. In order to accommodate such a diverse collection of race vehicles, the overall classification structure is determined by the era of racing the cars competed in. That way, competitors can be matched against similar cars that all have the same technology.
NORRA also has the Meyers Manx Safari Expedition which is for modified street legal vehicles. The Safari Expedition is a guided tour that follows parts of the race course, but also takes in some points of interest, and great food along the way.
Everything you need to know about NORRA’s Baja Mexican 1000, and NORRA 500 can be found at www.norra.com. Go to the site and find out for yourself why NORRA has exploded in popularity. It’s the greatest racing adventure in Baja. You can experience the same wonder and sense of achievement those early thrill seekers sought in the 1960’s today when you join NORRA in Baja. Don’t miss out on the fun and competition!
