NORRA Welcomes Our Friends in the Media
NORRA welcomes our friends in the media to join us at the 2025 NORRA’s Baja Mexican 1000. No other event offers the rich history, amazing tales, interesting characters and spectacular backdrops that NORRA’s Baja delivers. Every stage of the rally has its own unique flavor; encompassing the challenge and beauty of the Baja Peninsula. The rally travels south for 6 days of racing down the Peninsula with an overnight stop in a new town each night. Classes are for motorcycles, UTV’s, modern race cars, historic vehicles and street legal Safari participants. there is a class for every competitor and a story for every audience. Entries span the entire history of offroad racing; over 50 years.

One of the many interesting stories is in the Historic Truck class where the teams of Bob Briggs and Tim Kunch will be racing against one of the most accomplished and experienced roster of drivers ever assembled. Racing with Mark Post this year will be his teammate Brent Bauman and off road racing legends Larry Ragland, Rob MacCachren and Robby Gordon. They will be in what has been the truck to beat in the Historic class; Post’s “Black Diamond” Ford.
In the Pioneer buggies class our Grand Marshal Mike Pearlman will be competing with Casey Pearlman, Sonya Kieslich, Paulina Kieslich, Richard Cushman, Lisa Charbonneau and John Kieslich in a 2025 Meyers Manx Custom Tribute to the car Mike raced in 1968. The car was built by JK Classic Buggies. Mac Johnson’s Classic Car Round-up will feature the Myers Manx and will have Mike’s car on display.
NORRA’s rally format provides the rush of competition, but also allows participants to relax each evening in a unique location in Baja.
