Baja has a way of testing everything.

No matter how well prepared you are, racing in Baja can throw something at you that you never expected. When it does, The Fab School Repair Team has your back at the 2026 NORRA 500 Baja Coast Challenge.

The Fab School Repair Team travels with NORRA to help competitors stay in the race when things don’t go according to plan. Their crew includes experienced instructors, Fab School graduates and current students who bring real-world fabrication and problem-solving skills directly to the race.

Whether you need help diagnosing a problem, welding a broken component, fabricating a repair or simply figuring out how to get your vehicle back on course, the team is there to lend a hand.

They’ve made everything from straightforward repairs to the kind of creative Baja fixes that can mean the difference between loading onto the trailer and making it to the finish line.

Of course, their presence isn’t a substitute for showing up prepared. Your race vehicle, chase crew, tools and spares are still your responsibility. Think of The Fab School Repair Team as the extra set of experienced hands you hope you won’t need but will be very happy to see if you do.

The Repair Team is also a working extension of what The Fab School teaches every day. Students receive hands-on training in fabrication, Digital Design and Manufacturing, Advanced Composites and Emerging Technologies, with skills that translate directly into industries including off-road racing, automotive, aerospace and manufacturing.

The NORRA 500 Baja Coast Challenge runs October 8-11, 2026, with two days of racing from Ensenada to San Quintín and back up the Baja coast.
