Baja Spirit Comes Alive in Ensenada for NORRA 500 FanFest

Race Cars, Classic Rides, and NORRA Camaraderie Bring Fans and Racers Together in Downtown Ensenada

Before the dust flies, the celebration begins in Ensenada! Join NORRA on Thursday, October 8, for FanFest from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Riviera Cultural Center and along adjacent Club Rotario Avenue, a day celebrating the cars, the people, and the spirit of the NORRA 500 Baja Coast Challenge.

Race vehicles set the scene, classic cars bring the nostalgia, and downtown Ensenada supplies the Baja flavor. With the restaurants and shops of nearby Calle Primera adding to the atmosphere, there’s every reason to bring your friends, grab a bite in town, and spend the day soaking up the excitement before the race. It’s a chance for longtime race fans and first-time visitors alike to share in the anticipation as the NORRA family gathers for another Baja adventure.

Among the day’s highlights, Mack Johnson’s Vintage Classic Car Round-Up runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. beside the Riviera. Come admire the cars, share racing stories, and enjoy the camaraderie that makes a NORRA gathering special. The Grand Marshal meet and greet from noon to 1 p.m. adds another opportunity to connect with the celebration.

Alongside the festivities, competitors prepare for the challenge ahead. Tech inspection begins at 8 a.m. for PRO SXS FI, PRO SXS, 6100, and Class 10 competitors, followed by Evolution and Historic Era tech inspection from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Club Rotario Avenue.

The celebration carries into the evening with the NORRA 500 Welcome Fiesta from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Riviera Cultural Center’s Desert Garden, with food and drinks included. Drivers must also attend the mandatory drivers meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Riviera’s Theater.

Come for the cars. Stay for the camaraderie. Enjoy a day in Ensenada with the NORRA family before the Baja Coast Challenge hits the dirt!
