Stella 6 Digital Roadbook and SPICA Required

NORRA competitors will use the new Stella 6 rally tablet, combining digital roadbook navigation with Stella’s established safety, tracking and communication functions. This does not apply to Safari Expedition participants.

The Stella 6 displays navigation instructions, tulips, distances, headings, speed limits and course warnings on a high-visibility screen. It also provides waypoint validation, speed-zone monitoring, overtaking requests, vehicle proximity warnings, SOS communication and other on-course safety alerts.

Choose Your Connectivity Setup

Competitors will have two equipment configurations:

With Starlink: The Stella 6 can be used without an additional Stella EVO 3.

Without Starlink: The Stella 6 must be used in conjunction with a Stella EVO 3.

Competitors who do not already have Starlink may rent a system through Baja Starlink Rentals. For availability, pricing and reservations, contact:

Required SPICA Unit

A SPICA will be added as a required second device. The SPICA III serves as a data logger. The SPICA will be provided for the event and does not require teams to purchase the unit.

Prepare Your Vehicle Before Technical Inspection

Competitors are responsible for ordering and installing the correct mounting brackets, wiring harnesses and antennas for their selected Stella configuration.

All required brackets and wiring for the Stella 6, Stella EVO 3 when required, and SPICA III must be completely installed before the vehicle enters Technical Inspection. Vehicles must arrive fully prepared and ready to accept the required units.

The SPICA III must be connected directly to the vehicle’s 12-volt battery and mounted on the dashboard or roll cage in a location easily accessible to NORRA officials.
