NORRA 2026 Race Dates Released

Mark your calendars and make plans for the 2026 NORRA racing season. NORRA created sanctioned off road racing in Baja, back in 1967. The original Baja racing series is still the best. NORRA’s Baja 2026 will begin on Thursday, April 30th. After two days of technical inspection and UTV qualifying on the 1st, participants will begin their journey down the peninsula. Six days of competition later, the rally will wrap up in San Jose Del Cabo with the awards ceremony on May 8th. The NORRA 500 will take place Thursday, October 8th through the 11th. Technical inspection will be Thursday the 8th with racing on Friday and Saturday. Awards will be on Sunday morning the 11th. Keep up to date on all NORRA events at www.norra.com. We look forward to seeing you in 2026, but registration will be opening soon for the 2025 NORRA 500. Online registration begins on Tuesday July 1st, 2025 at 12:00 pm Pacific time. NORRA will have special discounted entry fees when you sign up online.

The NORRA 500 and NORRA’s Baja are both the greatest Baja racing experiences you will ever have. NORRA offers routes that other sanctioning bodies just can’t deliver. Every year the courses are unique with varied terrain and incredible scenery. Our rally racing format is challenging, but also forgiving. It’s not an all or nothing, one shot, torture test. Both events offer multiple days of fierce, high speed competition that allows teams to fully experience everything Baja has to offer. In addition to bragging rights, prestigious awards, trophies and cash prizes are presented depending on the class in which you participate.

NORRA classifies vehicles according to the different eras of off road racing, so there’s a class for everyone and you will be racing against vehicles that are equal to yours. NORRA has classes for cars, trucks, UTV’s and motorcycles of all types. If you’re not a racer, NORRA has the Meyers Manx Safari Expedition that is unique to NORRA. Open to street legal vehicles capable of travelling off road, it is a guided tour of Baja that puts you right in the mix of the NORRA’s Baja or the NORRA 500.

The NORRA 500 is back to back days of competition around Ensenada, Baja Mexico. This two-day loop format makes it logistically easy for teams. It’s easy to race, easy to chase; a great opportunity for those who are new to racing in Baja. Teams can take advantage of all the amenities available in Ensenada and still experience challenging Baja terrain that varies from the Pacific Coast to the rugged mountains, the dry desert around San Felipe, even the legendary pine forest. The challenges are always changing.

NORRA’s Baja is a point to point race that travels the length of the Baja Peninsula. It stops in a different town each night as it heads south. Each town has its own charm and unique culture. At the end of each day, teams have an opportunity to perform maintenance and adjustments to their vehicles so they are at maximum strength when they take the green flag the next day. Drivers and crew have time to perform their duties and enjoy a great meal and the hospitality offered at each stop.

After experiencing NORRA just once, you too will be hooked. Everything you need to know about the NORRA 500 and NORRA’s Baja Mexican 1000 can be found at norra.com. Go to the site and find out for yourself why NORRA has exploded in popularity. You can feel the same excitement those pioneering thrill seekers sought in 1967 when you join NORRA in Baja. Don’t miss out on NORRA’s unique combination of adventure and competition.
