Bike Competitors Can Get a Sample of NORRA’s Baja

Ever wanted to race in the NORRA’s Baja Mexican 1000, but didn’t know how? Now is your chance to take that first step without committing to the full six days of Baja racing. NORRA is announcing the MOTO Uno class that gives you a “Taste of NORRA” at the 2025 NORRA’s Baja Mexican 1000 rally race. Motorcycle competitors who are new to Baja rally racing competition can sign up for a single day of racing that does the first special stages of the event when it departs from Ensenada, Baja Mexico on Saturday, April 26th. Don’t forget to attend Contingency, Tech Inspection on the 24th and 25, and enjoy the Welcome Fiesta for participants, and the Motos Drivers Meeting on the 25th.

After completing day one of competition, winners of MOTO Uno will be announced. Riders will see their times but not be scored in the overall classification. Participants can then return home at their leisure. The rest of the field will continue racing for five more days to the final finish line in San Jose Del Cabo. They will spend the night in a different town each night along the way down the Baja peninsula.

The MOTO Uno “Taste of NORRA” is the best way to familiarize your team to racing the rally format, using road book navigation and racing in Baja in general. You will experience all aspects of rally racing; Outfitting your bike with the necessary Stella navigation and safety components, passing technical inspection, road book navigation, participating in timed stages, completing transit stages on time and crossing the finish line after a day of incredible competition and adventure.

You will get it all without being in over your head with a full peninsula run. Entry cost is $985 for one rider, $180 for each additional rider on a team. Entry fee includes NORRA membership. This is the perfect trial run/learning experience for riders who always wanted to join in on the fun, but might not have experience in rally type competitions.
