Online Drivers’ Meetings for NORRA 500
NORRA will be holding online Zoom meetings for all teams on Friday, October 4th. The Meyers Manx Safari Expedition meeting is at 4:00 pm Pacific Time and the Pro and Classic Vehicles Drivers’ Zoom Meeting starts at 6:00 pm Pacific Time. When you are fully entered into the race, a link to the meeting will be supplied. This online meeting will not be recorded so make sure your team is attending. Online registration closes on Wednesday, October 2nd so don’t wait.
These meetings will be hosted by NORRA Race Director Eliseo Garcia. You will have a chance to interact with Eliseo and get any questions answered that you may have about the event. That way you’ll be up to speed and ready for fun when you get to Ensenada for the NORRA 500 on October 11th through the 13th. The course is spectacular, unique and fast. Who will be crowned the King of the Beach?
In addition to the many trophies, prize money is up for grabs in the UTV Pro Turbo and Pro 2000 UTV and class 10 combined class. The winner of the UTV Pro Turbo class will take home twenty thousand dollars. The winner of the Pro 2000 UTV and class 10 car combined class will also receive twenty thousand dollars in prize money. If a class 10 wins in 2000, the driver also gets a class legal K24 Honda engine worth $9500 from Lozano Performance. The Lozano K24 has great torque and horsepower with Honda reliability. Come on class 10 teams, what are you waiting for?
The new Class 11 Baja Battle For King Of The Beach is for Limited, Vintage class 11 bugs (U.S. rules) and a separate class for modified, Evolution class 11 bugs (Mexico rules). Both classes will be racing for a $4000 winner takes all cash prize in their class, but also for the King of the Beach trophy that will be awarded to the fastest overall class 11 from either Vintage or Evolution on the final stage of day two. This 51 mile stage down the beach will be epic. It includes the boulder beach and the hill climb.
