2024 NORRA 500 Course Comes in Two Different Flavors

The 2024 NORRA 500 held October 11th through the 13th in Ensenada, Baja Mexico will have distinctly unique challenges on both days of racing. Day one travels through wild, untracked river washes when it’s not negotiating twisty mountain roads. The course will include the King of the Mountain section as it crests the highest point during the race. Timed special stages will average around 70 miles long with short transits in between. Although you will be racing in remote areas in the Pacific coast region, the stages will end near fuel and services for trouble-free logistics. Your eventual destination will be in San Quintin for a party and overnight stay.

Day two will have miles and miles of fast running along the Pacific Ocean beaches. The course will also include the infamous “boulder beach” section filled with round stones polished over centuries by the crashing waves. Don’t lose focus while taking in the beauty of the ocean and beware of the Chupacabras at Rancho Tampico. The only section of the course also used on day one has a distinctly different experience when traveled in the opposite direction. It’s a totally different flavor of Baja on both days of competition. One thing that is shared on both days is the quality of the course. Most of it is on excellent terrain; fast and flowy instead of rough and punishing. We could see some record breaking times at the end of each day.
