Check the New Rules We Have at the NORRA Mexican 1000

NORRA is always striving to provide you with the best Baja racing experience; that’s why rules are constantly evolving. The rules need to keep up with advances in technology and the best safety practices. The latest rules are now available on our website at:
www.norra.com/rules_current

One example is rule 3.5.4 for seating. The current rule for competitors (not Safari Expedition), is “A recognized manufacturer that specializes in seats for racing applications must make all seats. RECLINING SEATS ARE NOT ALLOWED. No stock production seats are allowed. All seats must be securely mounted to frame of vehicle and be properly reinforced in such a manner as to keep seat from moving in relationship to the frame.” If you have reclining seats they need to be changed out. You don’t want to find this out during tech inspection in Ensenada. This is not a punitive rule; it’s entirely for the safety of all competitors.

There are several other rules changes that will be implemented at the Mexican 1000 this year. Take the time to review them all and make sure your vehicle complies. That way you can spend all your time having fun with your friends instead of scrambling at the last minute to get your team into compliance. Save your adrenaline and focus for the race course.

Everything you need to know about the latest rules and how to compete in the Mexican 1000 can be found at www.norra.com Go to the site and find out for yourself why NORRA has exploded in popularity. You can experience the same wonder and sense of achievement those early thrill seekers sought in the 1960’s today when you join NORRA in Baja. Don’t miss out on the competition, adventure and fun of NORRA racing.
