FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The 2023 Yokohama NORRA 500 will take place from October 19th to 22nd in Baja, Mexico, offering an exciting course for competitors. The event starts in Ensenada with contingency and technical inspection on the 19th, providing an opportunity for racers to meet, socialize, and inspect their vehicles for safety. The first day of competition leads to San Felipe on the Sea of Cortéz for an overnight stay and a remarkable finish line celebration.
Day two brings the race back to Ensenada, with a different course each day featuring multiple stages, each approximately 70 miles long. The route covers scenic and storied destinations in northern Baja, including the pine forest and Mike's Sky Rancho, along with new exciting sections. Convenient pit access from highways 3 and 5 simplifies logistics, allowing for driver changes, refueling, and adjustments during transit stages.
The Yokohama NORRA 500 welcomes both seasoned racers and newcomers to Baja racing, with various classes for cars, trucks, and UTVs. The Pro Turbo UTV and Pro 2000 Classes offer a $10,000 USD payout each. Participants without race vehicles can still join the Safari Expedition using their street-legal vehicles, making it an accessible Baja event for all.
