MAG 7 PIT SUPPORT AT THE NORRA 500
Supporting Baja Racers Since 1967!

AGUA DULCE, CALIF. - The Magnificent 7 Pit Support Team supported off road racers during the very first NORRA races in 1967 and 1968 and will be there for you again this race! For the 2022 NORRA 500, MAG 7 will provide 3 “Full Service” pits open to all NORRA racers.

MAG 7 is a 501c7 non-profit fraternal organization. The “Brothers and Sisters” in MAG 7 are all volunteers who support their extended family of offroad racers like you because they love doing it and they love doing it together.

The three MAG 7 “Full Service” pits are open to all racers and include “Emergency Service” through NORRA at no additional expense to all racers. “Full Service” including fueling will be an additional fee. The pit locations are sited to ensure stock UTV racers can make the longer special race stages without running out of fuel.

SEP 29, Thursday - Pre-Race
Day 0, Pit 0 - Ensenada:Riviera Parking Lot
SEP 30, Friday – Race Day 1
Day 1, Pit 1 - Stage 2: Compadre Trail

On Day 2, MAG 7 will provide 2 pits, Pit 1 at San Antonio Del Mar on the Pacific Coast for the Stage 1 Special and Pit 2 just off Highway 3 at El Alamo Road in the middle of the peninsula for the Stage 2 Special.

If racers need to drop off spares or pick up fuel, MAG 7 Pit 0 will be open on Thursday in the parking lot behind the Riviera Convention Center. NORRA will provide additional information to racers regarding exact locations for the three “Full Service” pits in the mileage summary, the race books, and on your Stella tracker.

MAG 7 pits include generators, welders, lights, air, tools, and other important pit gear. “Emergency Service” includes repairs to get you to the next point but NO FUELING. For “Full Service”, racers can pre-order either 91, 100 or 110 fuel to be hauled to the pit location and dumped by the MAG 7 pit crews. “Full Service” is available for additional pit fees of $350. All MAG 7 pits will monitor 153.380 which should be pre-programmed into most race radios as “MAG 7”.

Sign-ups and fuel purchases can be made on the MAG 7 website at: www.mag7race.com. The deadline is Wednesday, September 28 at noon Pacific Daylight Time. Please note that your pit support fees are lower with MAG 7 because MAG 7 is not a business and the pit fees simply cover some of the MAG 7 volunteers’ expenses to be in Baja for you!

The volunteer pit captains and crews of MAG 7 are excited to be able to support you at the 2022 NORRA 500. If you are interested in joining the MAG 7 “Brotherhood”, please contact them on their website or Facebook page. MAG 7 Pit Support Team…supporting Baja racers since 1967

ABOUT NORRA

Beginning in 2010, the National Off Road Racing Association (NORRA) began promoting a rebirth of the NORRA Mexican 1000 rally. The unique off-road rally was co-created by promoter Mike Pearlman to consist of special stages (unlimited speed timed stages in the dirt) linked together by controlled speed liaison / transit sections (highway). The one-of-a-kind, once-a-year, five-day rally includes vintage off-road vehicles and motorcycles, as well as modern pre-runners, trucks, buggies, UTVs, bikes and desert Rally Raid cars.

Pearlman’s late father Ed and others established the first running of the NORRA Mexican 1000 off-road rally in November of 1967, which eventually became internationally recognized and evolved into the Baja 1000 in the mid-1970’s.

NORRA enjoys corporate partnerships with Yokohama Tire, Method Race Wheels, Bilstein Shock Absorbers, STEEL-IT, Rugged Radios, Adler Motorsports, McMillin Racing, Maxima Racing Oils, Multitool USA, Satélite del Norte, Biltwell, Cerveceria Transpeninsular, PCI Race Radios, Schampa, Optima Batteries, K&N, Horsepower Ranch, Baja Bush Pilots, The Fab School, Mag7 Pits, the Off-Road Motorsports Hall of Fame (ORMHOF), B3KREATIV, and many more.
