Kevin Adler & Racing 905 Looking For Repeat At 2022 Yokohama NORRA 500!
Helping To Produce The Awards Celebration!
AGUA DULCE, CALIF. - Kevin Adler and his Adler Motorsports/Racing 905 team where the first truck off the line at the inaugural Yokohama NORRA 500 presented by Method Race Wheels in 2019. They won the Evolution Pre Runner class in 2021, and this year they plan to take one more giving them back to back wins. Kevin is a strong supporter of NORRA and has decades of racing experience in all types of off road competition. Kevin and racing partner Aaron Celiceo of Racing 905 have been competing together for over 6 years in a class 7 open truck, a Trophy Truck and in the Evolution Pre Runner class at NORRA.
Kevin comes from a motorsports, and desert racing family, and sometimes lines up against his brother Greg at certain events. “I’m going to possibly compete against my brother Greg in the Trophy Truck this year, but after that I will hang up my helmet except for NORRA events,” says Kevin. “My brother and I are close, but once we put the helmets on, it’s Greg who? I have a profound love of Mexico and once I met Mike Pearlman we bonded right away. I love what NORRA does. It’s intense, but not as intense as our racing Trophy Trucks has been. We are looking forward to racing NORRA events. I can race with my friends like Scott Steinberger, my daughter Paige, and my girlfriend Kimberley, my co-drivers Dan West and Leofar Delgado, and the entire Celiceo family. I really want my daughter to be a part of our racing; I want her to have fun. NORRA has always meant a lot to me for the family time I get to spend.”
Kevin is helping to produce the awards party at the NORRA 500 which begins September 29th in Ensenada, Baja Mexico. Registration is still open so hurry! The Yokohama NORRA 500 presented by Method Race Wheels varies from the NORRA Mexican 1000 as it is a loop race that starts and finishes both days in Ensenada. It’s the perfect opportunity to bring your friends and family down to experience NORRA. There are plenty of amenities in Ensenada so nobody has to rough it. This also goes for the crew. There will be plenty of time to spend at the beach, in the pool, and at the NORRA parties every night; the fun never ends at the 500.
The Cartera Grande (Big Purse) for UTV competitors will be back and bigger than ever. Last year’s purse was over twenty thousand dollars! Anyone entered in a UTV class can win. ABOUT NORRA
Beginning in 2010, the National Off Road Racing Association (NORRA) began promoting a rebirth of the NORRA Mexican 1000 rally. The unique off-road rally was co-created by promoter Mike Pearlman to consist of special stages (unlimited speed timed stages in the dirt) linked together by controlled speed liaison / transit sections (highway). The one-of-a-kind, once-a-year, five-day rally includes vintage off-road vehicles and motorcycles, as well as modern pre-runners, trucks, buggies, UTVs, bikes and desert Rally Raid cars.
Pearlman’s late father Ed and others established the first running of the NORRA Mexican 1000 off-road rally in November of 1967, which eventually became internationally recognized and evolved into the Baja 1000 in the mid-1970’s.
