Dates Set for 2025 NORRA Mexican 1000
NORRA has the dates for the 2025 NORRA Mexican 1000. The historic NORRA Mexican 1000 will take place April 24th through May 2nd. The race travels the length of the Baja Peninsula with an overnight stay in a new town each night along the way. In 2025 we will begin with two days of registration and technical inspection at the Riviera Convention Center in downtown Ensenada. Thursday April 24th and Friday the 25th will be filled with excitement as NORRA welcomes racers to Baja. There will be food, drinks, music and tons of fans waiting to get the Mexican 1000 started. There will be celebrities and special vehicle displays that you won’t want to miss, as well as the welcome fiesta and the final driver’s meeting on the 25th. Racing begins Saturday April 26th and continues every day for six full days until they reach the finish line on May 1st. The awards celebration will be held the following day, May 2nd, on the beach in San Jose Del Cabo.
The NORRA Mexican 1000 is packed with special events, awards, challenges, prizes and more; you don’t want to miss it! NORRA’s rally format provides the rush of competition, but also allows participants to relax each evening in a unique location in Baja. If you don’t own a race car, you can enter the Safari Expedition which is for street legal vehicles and travels at non-racing speeds. You will enjoy even more of the spectacular beauty and distinctive Baja culture along the way.
You say you can’t wait until 2025? Registration is currently open for the NORRA 500 which takes place October 11th through the 13th 2024. The NORRA 500 is three days of fun and a challenging two full days of timed special stages for 4 wheeled race vehicle classes and UTV’s (no bikes at this event). UTV’s in the PRO TURBO UTV and PRO 2000 classes will be competing for a 20 thousand winner takes all cash prize in each class. Like the Mexican 1000, the NORRA 500 uses a rally race format. Speed sections average 70 miles each with a combined total around 250 miles per day. This year’s course layout will include incredibly diverse terrain along the Pacific Coast in Northern Baja. Each day you will travel through favorite areas as well as new unique trails that many have not seen.
