NORRA’S Mexican 1000 Is the Second Race of the 2024 Ultra 4 International World Championship Series!
NORRA is excited to announce that its 2024 Mexican 1000 is the second race of the Ultra4 International World Championship Series! Covering over 1200 miles and 6 days using a Dakar style rally racing format from Ensenada to Cabo San Lucas Baja California, it is truly a “not to be missed” event! The NORRA Mexican 1000 is set for April 26th through May 4, 2024, and registration is already open at www.norra.com.
The King of the Hammers event was the first race of the International Ultra 4 Race Series and ends with the Crandon World Cup on August 29th through September 1st. These are undoubtedly three of the most iconic off road races on the planet.
NORRA’s Mexican 1000 is run in a Dakar style rally format with multiple timed special stages raced every day on new terrain linked together by time controlled transit sections. NORRA prohibits prerunning and the course map is only provided to the racers the day before the race begins. With this format, competitors are able to make adjustments during transit stages and during the overnight stays in different towns every night. The Mexican 1000 is a unique mix of strategy, speed, endurance, competition, and adventure.
“The Mexican 1000 is one of the most storied races in off-road, and we’re delighted to see it become a cornerstone event for Ultra4,” said Mike Jams, CEO of Hammerking Productions. “Its stage format and wide-ranging terrain bring a whole new element of competition and adventure to our racers. We see huge growth ahead and are excited to be part of that. Thank you to the whole NORRA team for helping to make this happen.”
Everything you need to know about the NORRA Mexican 1000 can be found at www.norra.com. Go there to find out how you can participate in the greatest Baja racing adventure there is.
