Fuel Availability in Baja at the NORRA Mexican 1000

Part of the incredible adventure found at the NORRA Mexican 1000 is getting off the beaten path into some of the most remote areas on the Baja Peninsula. Experienced travelers know that when you find fuel it’s best to fill your tanks. Some towns in Mexico experience shortages of a particular blend, or have gasoline, but no diesel. If you are running a particular fuel in your vehicle or chase truck it’s advisable to be prepared.

As of this release date we know that diesel is still available in Bay of LA but the supply may be limited. You can also get regular gas, but no premium there. Next stop for gas south of Bay of LA is Villa Jesus Maria where they have regular only. At Guerrero Negro they have all three, diesel, regular and premium. The same is generally true for Vizcaino; they have all three. San Ignacio has regular only.

This status can change so please be sure to have ample fuel supplies when traveling around this area. If you need additional fuel it’s best to have your own supply or if you are using a pit support team, make sure they have enough fuel to service all your vehicles.
