New Start Line Rule. Good Samaritan Rule Change. New Stage Timing Sticker Guide.

1. Good Samaritan Rule

NORRA will be making the following rule change due to the overwhelming amount of requests for time credits.

GENERAL RULE 8.7 WILL BE CHANGED TO
Rule 8.7.1 In the event of a vehicle gets stuck, crashes or has a mechanical breakdown during a stage and other registered and active competitor stops (Good Samaritan) to assist or tow there will be time credits, at the race review board’s discretion.

2. New Start Check In Procedure:

For safety reasons we have decided to ask co drivers to get off race vehicle and deliver time card to check in staff at tent and after time card is filled should go back to vehicle and proceed to go into staging area.

3. New Stage Timing Stickers Guide:

Top left number: 12:59:59 is the time race car went thru stage finish, this is the time you use to calculate your next check in time.

Bottom left number: 1:58:59 is the stage total time from start to finish. You do not use this for any transit times this is just your total time for the stage.

Upper right number: (21 in above example) is the total number of vehicles that have been thru that checkpoint.

Lower right number: #2933 in this example is the Race Vehicle Number.

Early check in penalties related to confusion in timing stickers data for this last 2 days have been credited back, NO more credits back for early check in will be done from this point forward. (No credits back, penalties for early check in will be changed and in effect to 3 minutes for each 1 minute early.)
