6100 Class Rules Reminder and Pro SXS Rule Revision

Important Info for Tech Inspection for 6100 and Pro SXS Classes

Official Reminder: NORRA 6100 Class Engine Tag Compliance

All 6100 class entrants must comply with Rule 13.11 of the NORRA 2026 Vehicle Rules (Version 6.1) regarding engine tagging. This applies to both the primary race engine and all spare engines.

  • All engines (race and spares) must be properly tagged.
  • All spare engines must be presented at Technical Inspection for verification.
  • A completed Tech Sheet is required for each engine (race and spares) prior to inspection.

Failure to comply will result in reclassification to the Unlimited Truck class.

Official Reminder: Pro SXS Class Regulation Update

For the 2026 season, NORRA introduced a significant update to the PRO SXS, PRO SXS NA, and PRO SXS FI class regulations requiring production OEM lower chassis retaining OEM suspension and steering pick up points. (Factory Polaris Pro R SXS are OEM.) For 2026 NORRA is allowing a exception to this chassis rule. Below are the details every competitor needs to know.

For the 2026 season only, the PRO SXS, PRO SXS NA, and PRO SXS FI class will allow non-OEM, aftermarket fully tubed chassis as long as the suspension and steering pick up points are verified by NORRA to be OEM locations. Only non-OEM chassis will need to be inspected. This inspection will be available by appointment on April 30, 2026, in Ensenada between 9:00am and 7:00pm at the Riviera Cultural Center. NORRA will charge $500 for the inspection. Contact Brian Bennett ASAP at (818) 634-7145 to schedule your inspection time.

No additional rule changes beyond these details.
