Team Herbst Joins Talented Field at NORRA’s King of Baja Challenge

Tim Herbst, EJ Herbst and Ryan Arciero Join a talented field of 6100 truck competitors during NORRA’s Baja 6 day rally for the King of Baja Challenge. Held April 30th through May 8, the rally begins in Ensenada Baja Mexico and travels the length of the peninsula to finish in San Jose Del Cabo. Each night the rally stops in a different town. The racer who merits the King of Baja title will be rich in the triumph, the incredible adventure and the $70,000 in first place prize money. The total prize pool is $100,000. Second place earns $20,000 and $10,000 goes to third.

The 6100 truck class is a driver’s class and NORRA’s Baja is going to let the drivers settle who is the King of Baja. In addition to Team Herbst, the rest of the field is brimming with fast experienced Baja racers like Brent Fox, Craig McCarthy and Kevin Murphy, Zak Langley (last year’s champion), Matt Cullen, Robby and Max Gordon, Travis Williams, CJ Hutchins, Pat Sims, Chad and Joey Black, Todd Winslow, Jake Johnson; there are way too many fast, Baja savvy drivers to mention them all. It will also be a battle of the manufacturers. Trucks built by the Geiser Brothers, Mason, 1Nine Industries, Brenthel, TSCO, Camburg, ESM and Tera Dynamic are all entered.

Each day of competition features several timed special stages run at race speeds with transit stages in between. During the transit stages you can get food, water and make adjustments to your truck. Every time you line up for the next special stage, you will be dialed in to race. Further prep and tuning can be done every night as the rally travels further south. NORRA’s Baja 6 day rally is the ultimate test of a team’s speed, resiliency, ingenuity and determination. After 6 full days, the team that comes out on top will be the undisputed King of Baja.
