NORRA’s Baja Moto Race 2026: Built by Racers, for Racers
Motorcycles have always been at the heart of NORRA racing on the Baja Peninsula—and in 2026, that commitment to two wheels is stronger than ever. NORRA’s Baja is led by Motos Race Director Jimmy Lewis, a Baja overall winner and Dakar Rally podium finisher who knows exactly what it takes to get riders to the finish line safely, competitively, and with a smile on their face.
Riders who register early get a serious advantage. Moto racers who enter before February 28 will receive a free Rally Navigator subscription for their navigation unit, plus free rally navigation training valued at over $1,200, taught personally by Jimmy Lewis. This is the same elite-level training nearly every American Dakar standout has relied on - and it’s included for early NORRA entrants. Add in support opportunities from trusted partners like Baja Bound Moto, and High Desert Adventures, and NORRA’s Baja becomes one of the most approachable rally events in North America.
The 2026 NORRA’s Baja 6 Day Rally spans approximately 1,450 miles, including a true marathon stage that tests both rider and machine. Fueling opportunities will be no more than 200km apart. Riders not in a Pro class can transport their bike via chase truck on transit stages. Whether you’re racing solo or with teammates, moto competitors can complete the entire event with as little as one support vehicle, or choose from professionally managed support packages designed to eliminate logistical headaches and keep riders focused on racing.
Support partners Baja Bound Moto and High Desert Adventures offer proven programs tailored to different racing styles. Baja Bound delivers all-inclusive options with hotel stays and 100% mechanical support and even bike rental to ensure a finish. If this is an option for your NORRA race, sign up via this link:

High Desert Adventures’ Ace Nilson explains the $750 Malle Moto option:
“We transport your gear while you ride down the peninsula and camp each night with a provided tent and sleeping bag. We supply shop tools, oils, tire changers, bike stands, lights, easy-ups, breakfast, and hydration. You work on your own bike, with limited assistance from fellow competitors, and a small spares box. If a bike breaks, the Malle Moto trailer will return it to Ensenada, and bikes can be transported back to the U.S. for a fee. Plus, the first rider to sign up for Malle Moto who finishes will receive a $750 rebate.” You can sign up for Malle Moto on the NORRA website.
Navigation at NORRA is designed to be fun, safe, and confidence-building. Roadbook routes are created by experienced riders to clearly describe terrain and features - challenging without being tricky. For those looking for an easier entry point, the GPS class will run a completely separate, simplified route from the roadbook classes, allowing riders to experience NORRA’s Baja without the pressure of roadbook navigation or specialized equipment.
For elite competitors, NORRA delivers real incentives. Once six Pro moto entries are received, a $10,000 cash purse will be awarded, with $5,000 for first, $3,000 for second, and $2,000 for third. As always, the top-finishing Amateur rider earns a free entry into the Pro class for the following year’s NORRA’s Baja.
NORRA’s Baja isn’t about making things harder than they need to be—it’s about delivering a world-class rally experience that welcomes new riders, challenges veterans, and celebrates the unique magic of racing motorcycles down the Baja Peninsula. Register now at NORRA.com.
