NORRA Has Turned Up the Heat in 2026 for 6100 Trucks!

NORRA unveils the “King of Baja” trophy for the 6100 Trucks at the 2026 NORRA’s Baja 6-Day Rally event. The “King of Baja” trophy is accompanied by a $100,000 class payout and is the largest purse for a single class in off road racing in 2026! The $100,000 purse will be paid out with $70,000 to the winner, $20,000 to second place, and $10,000 to third place, making it one of the most lucrative in off-road racing.

NORRA sanctioned the original BAJA Mexican 1000 race in 1967. In 2026 the legend continues as NORRA’s Baja 6-Day Rally event traverses the challenging Baja peninsula to see who will be crowned the King of Baja.

NORRA’s Baja 6-Day Rally event starts in Ensenada on April 30th and runs the entire length of the Baja peninsula ending in Cabo May 8th; 2-days of contingency/tech and qualifying, 6-days of Rally Racing, and one epic Awards Ceremony on the Beach of San Jose del Cabo to crown the King of Baja. Off Road Racer Robby Gordon states, “This is the closest thing to a North American Dakar style event.”

Unlike traditional off-road races that are single-day events, the 2026 NORRA’s Baja is an endurance race, a test for teams, drivers and machines. The 2026 NORRA’s Baja 6-Day Rally event will span more than 1,300 miles featuring historic Baja routes and towns, including routes exclusive to NORRA. NORRA has announced that the event will include: Stage 1: Ensenada to San Felipe, Stage 2: San Felipe to Bahia de Los Angeles, Stage 3: Bahia de Los Angeles to San Ignacio, Stage 4: San Ignacio to Loreto, Stage 5: Loreto to LaPaz, and the Final 6th Stage: LaPaz to San Jose del Cabo.

The NORRA’s Baja 6-Day Rally event format is built for TV with a live stream feed following the 6100 Trucks down the Baja peninsula. NORRA TV will live stream minute-by-minute as the race unfolds. 6100 Truck competitors with Starlink/Starstream that will provide in-car streaming and tracking will be featured for the rally race on YouTube and Facebook.

For the first time in recent history NORRA will release the racecourse for fans and spectators to enjoy the event and to add additional safety for locals and spectators.

Registration for NORRA’s Baja and the King of Baja opens Tuesday Jan 6 at 12:00 PM Pacific time at norra.com.

Early registration provides additional benefits such as preferred hotels, lower entry fees, and flexible installment payment options for competitors.

The online competitor meeting will take place Monday, January 5th at 6:00 PM Pacific on the NORRA website.
