20 July, 2010: The National Off Road Racing Association announced today that preparations are being made for the 2011 NORRA Mexican 1000. With the great success of the event this year, NORRA is receiving a steady flow of incoming e-mails and inquiries about next year's event. Many returning participants as well as newcomers are beginning preparations for 2011.

While dates for the 2011 Mexican 1000 are being finalized, NORRA has been making exciting changes to their website and are gearing up to open registration soon. Event volunteers can now register via the website and visitors can tune in to KCBQ AM 1170 or via the web at http://www.kcbq.com for weekly broadcasts of Socal Off Road Radio on Sundays from 6-8 pm PST. You can also connect to videos and visit NORRA's Facebook page. Website visitors will soon be able to find information about pit services, hotel accommodations, Mexican auto insurance, festivities, and will be well informed when planning their participation in 2011.

The 2011 Mexican 1000 will again feature the much applauded 3 day rally format. Participants can expect some course and category changes.

As the first sanctioning body of off road racing, founded in 1967, NORRA's amazing comeback to the off road world has been garnering rave reviews from the industry and much growth is expected for the event in 2011.
